The Ravenhall Correctional Centre is a fully privatised 1,000 bed medium security men’s prison. Procured under a 25-year PPP contract, the project provides full custodial services with a focus on forensic mental health, rehabilitation and reintegration support services both pre- and post-release. The contract model was designed to deliver high-quality, value-for-money correctional services to the state and in a Victoria-first, includes incentive payments for reductions in recidivism.

The project was delivered by a highly specialised team comprising internal departmental resources and a range of external consultants including technical, financial, commercial, facilities management and legal advisers to ensure success.
