$5 billion

in private investment to the Central-West Orana region expected by 2030

3900

The New South Wales Government is in the development phase for the State’s first Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in the Central-West Orana region. The Central-West Orana REZ is approximately 20,000 square kilometres centred by Dubbo and Dunedoo, on the land of the Wiradjuri, Wailwan and Kamilaroi people.

The REZ will unlock 3GW of new network capacity by the mid-2020s, enough to power 1.4 million homes. New transmission infrastructure will enable generators (such as solar and wind farms) participating in the REZ to export electricity to the rest of the network.

Our people were engaged within the NewGen Networks consortium for its bid as Network Operator. IAG’s responsibilities included assisting with development of commercial principles, risk and opportunity management, financial items, supply chain engagement, negotiation of project documentation and providing strategic commercial advice.
