The Community Safety Building Authority is building a new state-of-the-art maximum-security prison that will provide much-needed capacity for Victoria’s growing prison population.

The prison will separately accommodate mainstream, protection, remand and sentenced prisoners.

Prisoner accommodation will be primarily single cell with a proportion of dual occupancy cells. It will feature the highest and most stringent level of security and include new health, education and recreation facilities.
