In March 2022, the Victorian State Government released the Victorian Offshore Wind Policy Directions Paper – a statement on how Victoria will develop its offshore wind industry into the future. The Victorian Offshore Wind Policy Directions Paper outlines the state’s vision for offshore wind. It sets ambitious targets of 2GW of offshore wind capacity by 2032, 4GW by 2035 and 9GW by 2040. This Directions Paper has been further supplemented by two implementation statements detailing the Government’s approach to development of its offshore wind industry.
IAG provided strategic advice and analysis to Offshore Wind Energy Victoria in relation to the offshore wind implementation strategy. The deliverables included a detailed options analysis and report setting out observations, findings and recommendations.
