Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG) was thrilled to be recently shortlisted for the ‘Interior Design – Commercial’ award for our new Melbourne office fit out at the Better Future Melbourne Design Awards 2023.

The award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, in particular space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality.

The space was designed to deliver opportunities for staff to relax, collaborate and socialise between engagements as embedded resources within client offices.

IAG Chief Operating Officer Tayne Evans said the shortlisting was great acknowledgement of the hard work many across the organisation contributed to deliver a clever, considered design.

“Our IAG Melbourne team and our many visitors have embraced the space and are really enjoying the collaborative opportunities it has created,” Mr Evans said.

“It’s become a real hub to touch base with colleagues, socialise and bounce ideas around, while also maintaining plentiful dedicated work spaces and meeting rooms.

“We’re particularly proud of the ‘green wall’ visitors will spot upon entry and the Melbourne laneway graphics in the kitchen splashback. Both of these elements were very intentional to help create a space we are all proud to work and play in.”

IAG Group Chief Corporate Officer Alex Taub said the planning team had intentionally focused on maximising the unique position of the office and sustainability opportunities.

“The abundant greenery and access to natural daylight were central to the design of the office,” Mr Taub said.

“We’re privileged to have some excellent views across Melbourne from our position and we’ve really maximised those through the way our areas connect and flow.

“Additionally, our entry woven flooring has a cradle-to-cradle sustainability factor. This means it never actually ends its life or goes into land fill. Rather it is reclaimed by its manufacturers to be given another life once it requires replacement.”
