Melbourne Airport Rail

Connection of Melbourne Airport

to Victoria’s regional and metropolitan rail network

Forms a key part

of Suburban Rail Loop

Melbourne Airport Rail (MAR) will take passengers from the CBD to the airport in around 30 minutes. It will run through Sunshine Station and the Metro Tunnel, maximising connections to Melbourne’s booming west and south-east, and Victoria’s major regional centres of Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong and Gippsland.

IAG was engaged to provide project management advisory services which involved managing project governance, advising on constructability and preparation of construction method report, plus development of the PS&TR. IAG personnel were engaged as the Accredited Rail Transport Operator (ARTO) Interface Manager during the development phase, which included facilitation of project briefings with V/Line, ARTC and MTM.

IAG also acted as transaction advisor to support RPV’s internal team for multiple MAR delivery packages, including as lead transaction advisor for the Sunshine Systems Alliance package.
